Sake Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar

A very lovely small local hibachi restaurant. Since we live nearby, my family and I come somewhat often. We enjoy the quieter atmosphere since it is a smaller restaurant. It also means less wait times, more opportunities for quicker service, and higher probability for private service for you and your party. Though not particularly the best, it does hibachi very well and you get some other benefits too. If you live locally, I would say that coming to eat here would be a better option that going out a bit farther for other hibachi options. Hibachi 4/5 – Pretty standard hibachi service and slightly larger than normal serving size. There is an overall consistency with the flavor from the preparation. I recommend adding extra eggs and/or mushrooms for even more flavor! Sushi 4/5 – Freshly made to order but I can’t comment on the freshness of the fish itself. I am going to say not the freshest fish used but still pretty good. They have a chef dedicated to just the sushi and raw fish dishes. With the large selection offered, I am sure you can find one you will like. Wings 2/5 – The wings were really not special nor the most flavorful. Some Asian restaurants serve some nicely made chicken wings but I am afraid it is not the case here. Chicken tempura 3/5- Pretty standard flavor and unfortunately more vegetables than chicken. They rely on yum yum sauce to properly enjoy it.

Very excellent food, fried bagel roll is my favorite sushi here! I also ordered salmon fried rice and it was very tasty and fresh. The restaurant is very clean and has a nice atmosphere. Sushi chef takes pride in his work and all the servers were nice and helpful! Wonderful service as well. Would recommend to my friends and family, definitely coming back.

First, I would like to apologize to this restaurant. I had ordered dinner through GrubHub, and originally the second bag with all of the sushi was missing. I was angry and immediately contacted GH for a refund and gave 1 star to both the driver and Sake. However, the driver returned with the missing bag. I went back to GH to cancel the refund and update the star ratings, but they said they couldn't change them nor could they cancel the refund, but they appreciated my honesty. I was able to add on a tip for the driver (felt that was the least I could do), and realized I could also give Sake a better rating on here and publicly apologize to them. Planning on stopping by to pay for the food as well. The food was good. Give them a try. Also, wait a day before giving any reviews.
